Product Description

Originally manufactured as a one-off piece for the company's EG (fits EG/ DC2/ EK w/out AC)... and has now become a demanded solution for getting the ECU off the floor! Our ECU Mount uses two factory threaded firewall locations and one you will have to add to securely mount the plate to the chassis. The plate looks great and is completely soft mounted which greatly reduces the shock and vibration associated with track use and crazy spring rates. Protect you investment and mount that K Series ECU or KPRO the right way!!

Installation Procedure:

1. Lay TracTuff ECU Mount on a flat working surface. Grab all three machined aluminum spacers and place them under each of the three ECU mounting tabs and line them up with the threaded holes in the plate.

2. Grab all three of the M6 x 30mm Flanged Hex Head Bolts and thread them into the ECU Mount by hand.

3. This hole is provided for those of you that have a relay built into you conversion harness. We know there are several options out there but we use and recommend Rywire conversion harnesses.

4. Disconnect the relay from the conversion harness and lay it on the ECU Mount. Grab the M6 x 10mm Flanged Hex Head Bolt and thread it into the ECU Mount by hand.

5. The ECU Mount is now complete and can be set aside.

6. The ECU gets mounted to the passanger-side firewall using two factory threaded mounting points and one that you must drill. These mounting points are used in the factory AC/ Heating system so the TracTuff ECU Mount will not work unless that stuff has been removed. To complete the installation you must have a center punch, drill, and either a 5mm or 13/64" drill bit.

The two circled inserts are the ones we will be using in the next few steps.

7. Install the short M6 stud in the left threaded firewall insert. Thread the shorter of the two ends of the stud into the firewall.

8. Install the long machined aluminum spacer onto the stud. The spacer has two different sides... install the spacer onto the stud using the side of the spacer that has a countersunk thread so the spacer completely tightens up against the firewall and then install one of the three vibration mounts in the end of the machined aluminum spacer.

9. Install one of the remaining two vibration mounts in the right most threaded firewall insert.

10. Hang the complete ECU Mount on the two vibration mounts you just installed and be sure to use the M6 Serrated-Flange Lock Nuts to keep the plate from moving during this next step.

11. Take the last vibration mount and place it under the lowest mounting point on the ECU Mount and take a center punch or something pointy and make a mark where you want to drill your hole and then remove the ecu and mount.

12. You want an 5mm hole so grab an 5mm or 13/64" bit and drill your hole.

13. Install the included Honda Fender Clip in the hole and install the remaining vibration mount into the Honda Fender Clip. The installation of the mount into the clip will cause the fender clip to expand and lock in place.

14. Install the completed ECU Mount onto the three vibration mounts tighten. Grab the three M6 Serrated-Flange Lock Nuts and thread them onto the protruding studs coming through the ECU Mounting plate and tighten. Go back and gently tighten the three ECU and one relay mounting bolts.
